CODE OF ETHICS IN NURSING According to the  American Nurses Association (ANA) , the nursing code of ethics is a guide for “carrying out nursing responsibilities in a manner consistent with quality in nursing care and the ethical obligations of the profession.” There are 4 main principles that are part of the nursing code of ethics. They are, Autonomy - Autonomy is recognizing each individual patient’s right to self-determination and decision-making. Beneficence - Beneficence is acting for the good and welfare of others and including such attributes as kindness and charity. The American Nurses Association defines this as “actions guided by compassion.” Justice - Justice is that there should be an element of fairness in all medical and nursing decisions and care. Non-maleficence - Nonmaleficence is to do no harm. Integrating Nursing Care and Technology

          We indeed exist in a modern world with technological advances. Along with this, people are now becoming more health-conscious than ever. That is why the integration of nursing care and technology is in demand as it promotes an easier information and care provider. Imagine collecting boundless information in just a few clicks? Yes, my mind was blown too thinking of many possibilities that this has to offer. I choose to study a nursing degree because I want to learn everything I can about providing health care. And knowing that we have now nursing informatics where we can input information to better diagnose a patient, this is one of the amazing medical breakthroughs. It is a privilege that we have this course subject. The introduction of this course is very informative.  I am very excited about my learning journey of this course.
